Life can be overwhelming at times and despite some of your various attempts to cope or understand why you are feeling the way you do, you may not be able to may sense of it all; at least not on your own. Perhaps you are not sure where to start, or perhaps you are scared of the idea of change from the inside out. Often people get stuck in patterns, thoughts, and behaviours that are unhealthy for them and often leave them feeling quite stuck and overwhelmed. As a result they lose sight of what it truly feels like to live life authentically and feel alive.
For many of us, our past is very much a part of our present, which can be quite debilitating at times. Perhaps you are carrying around guilt, shame, or anxiety that you desperately want to rid yourself of? Perhaps you are insecure with both yourself and how others may see you? Perhaps you are dissatisfied with the person staring back at you in the mirror? Perhaps you are going through a major life transition and the thought of moving forward and the change that may come with it is causing you stress that you are having trouble coping with? These are all significant and heavy things to carry around from day to day. Through all these worries and anxiety we often lose sight of who really are and we replace it with irrational fears or idealizations of how others want us to be or how we think we ought to be. This often leaves us feeling quite numb and unfulfilled. Along with these feelings, we often are left with a strong feeling of disappointment, dissatisfaction, and disconnection.
